Signs of Infestation
Tick infestations are a common pest in many parts of Wisconsin. The first signs usually show up as little critters crawling around your house or camping ground, and can take awhile to notice -- it's best not to wait too long before noticing them! They thrive in grassy and wooded areas.
Ticks are known for transmitting diseases like Lyme disease, erythema migrans (bullseye rash), Ehrlichiosis/Anaplasmosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever; and fluid-filled blisters on the skin that itch terribly due to Malaria transmission through tick bites.
